What is GDPR and how do we deal with your data?

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Rules. Efect lives up to the european policy on GDPR rules (which you can find additional information about here: https://gdpr.eu/what-is-gdpr/)

 

Subscription to automatic agents and Newsletter

When a person subscribes, an email is sent to his/her email address asking to confirm the email address, by clicking a link. Upon clicking, the following actions occur:

• The person is added to the list(s) of his/her choise and will start receiving automatic emails (newsagents) as well as manually created newsletters from EFECT
• A time stamp is recorded which includes the exact time the person gave consent to be added to these services - and the IP address from which the consent was given

 

Adding agents or newsletter

If a person is already listed as recipient of an agent or newsletter service and decides to add more services to his/her subscriptions, the following actions occur:

• The person is added to the lists of his/her choise directly (as consent has already been provided when initially signed-up)

 

In all mails sent out via the automatic agent solution there is an option to opt-out of future communication by clicking a link. When this links is clicked, the following actions occur:

• The persons email address is removed from the list(s) of his/her choise
• The person no longer receives communication he/she has wished to opt-out from
• A copy of the email address + time stamp is kept in the database, in case of disputes
